Ava N. Yellen, DC attended the University of Vermont for her undergraduate studies and continued her education at New York Chiropractic College. She received her acupuncture training from The International Academy of Medical Acupuncture in Arizona. Dr. Yellen has practiced in Scottsdale since 1993. She is licensed to practice chiropractic by the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners and is also certified in acupuncture and physiotherapy.
Dr. Yellen focuses on individualized treatment to fit her patients’ needs. This may include chiropractic or acupuncture or both in order to help patients achieve their health goals. She utilizes gentle yet highly effective techniques to manipulate the spine and extremities.
An experienced chiropractor, practicing for over 20 years, Dr. Yellen added acupuncture to her practice 10 years ago, inspired by the response to acupuncture treatment received by two of her sisters. Acupuncture was the only treatment that relieved the pain of diabetic neuropathy for one sister. Another sister experienced relief through acupuncture from the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
